  3. *I do not know how many Toasters were sold, but I do know that many of 
  4. *them were used in places where people were learning about video.  I can 
  5. *not imagine what the ratio would be but for every toaster sold I bet it 
  6. *was used to educate quite a few people.

  8. *The toaster really did give access to tools that many people would not 
  9. *have had access to. however, in teaching people do you think the Toaster 
  10. *was kind of a double edged sword in that it educated people it also 
  11. *taught them not to use it.  Dont get me wrong the toaster is great.

  13. *I know many peopel that learned on the toaster and are now working on 
  14. *much better equipment.

  18. The toaster hardly killed itself... Newtek would not exist today if not 
  19. for what the toaster did in its hey day... it sold well... you are right 
  20. however it wows a lot and educates a lot of poeple who are later seen on 
  21. better equipment... 1. the toaster is simply not up to true broadcast 
  22. stsandards... most pros wouldn't touch it at the studio I used to work... 
  23. 2. on the level it on however you cant do better for the price, saving 
  24. local cable and public broadcasting thousands in equipment cost...
